  8. one of us, may be perceived in another connection mentioned 
  9. by the psychologist C. G. Jung:

  11.      Every Roman was surrounded by slaves. The slave and his 
  12.      psychology flooded ancient Italy, and every Roman became 
  13.      inwardly, and of course unwittingly, a slave. Because living 
  14.      constantly in the atmosphere of slaves, he became infected 
  15.      through the unconscious with their psychology. No one can
